FSA Photography and the Mississippi Delta

This is the portal to two papers given in June, 2006 that are largely drawn from the 1930s and 1940s Farm Security Administration photographic project. The papers specifically deal with land settlement projects created by the Resettlement Administration and its successor, the FSA in the Department of Agriculture. Both papers examine the nature of the photographic evidence.
